helps lubricate joints by reducing synovial fluid leucocyte count,
serum transaminase levels, and erythrocyte sedimentation rates. It
promotes cellular regeneration of damaged joints by supporting liver
function and increasing
kidney gluathione content to
remove intrusive toxins, preventing fibrous changes, reestablishing
optimal nitrogen balance, and stimulating calcium absorption. Joint
Mender prevents auto-immune response (which can lead to conditions like
rheumatoid arthritis) by enhancing T-Cell activation, proliferation of
lymphocytes, bone marrow cells, and thymocytes in response to mitogens.
Simply take one Joint Mender
capsule two times per day to maintain and intensify these effects on
your body over time.
Joint Mender is a safe,
proprietary selection of special
herbs renowned for their joint rejuvenation properties. Concentrated
Extracts of these herbs have been blended in a powerfully effective
combination to increase assimilation and effective potency of each
ingredient while eliminating unwanted side-effects. Gathered from
throughout India, they include:
● Methi
- Trigonella
Foenum-Graecum (Fenugreek)
Methi seeds contain alkaloids and
proteins that are high in lysine and
tryptophan. Lysine is an essential amino acid needed for
growth and a helpful agent in maintaining nitrogen balance in the
body. This
helps the body absorb and conserve calcium. Tryptophan is an
essential amino acid (which means it cannot be synthesized and must be
part of your diet). It is precursor for serotonin (a
neurotransmitter) which plays an important role in liver regeneration
and helps induce cell division for healing. Methi seeds yield
a strong mucilage, useful in the treatment of inflammation and ulcers
of the stomach and intestines. They also have steroidal saponins
(diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, neotigogenin) and mucilaginous fiber,
which help soothe and protect irritated internal tissues of the body.
Compounds extracted from the plant exert anti-cholesterolemic,
anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, carminative (relieves gas in the gastro
intestinal tract), demulcent (soothing effect), deobstruent, emollient,
expectorant, hypoglycaemic, laxative, restorative and uterine tonic
activities. Methi helps in reducing glucose in blood and urine,
purifying
blood, flushing harmful toxins from the body, maintaining proper
metabolism, preventing constipation, dissolving excess
mucus, inhibiting liver cancer, and lowering cholesterol levels. It is
also used to treat insufficient lactation,
painful menstruation, and labour pains.
● Guggulu
- Commiphora Mukul (Guggul)
Guggulu has the following phytonutrients:
Aluminum, Beta-Sitosterol,
Calcium, Cholesterol, Copper, Ellagic-Acid, Ferulic-Acid, Guaijaverin,
Hyperoside, Iron, Magnesium, Quercetin,
Quercetin-3-O-Beta-D-Glucuronide, and Quercitrin.
Guggulu helps rejuvenate
cells and tissues and addresses nervous and reproductive system
irregularities. Its principal constituents, manusumbionic acid and
manusumbinone, confer significant protection against the development of
atherosclerosis, a disease affecting the arterial blood
vessel. Guggulu also increases plasma fibrinolytic activity which
aids in blood-clotting and prevents foreign bodies from entering
the body. It increases leucocytes in the blood and stimulates
phagocytosis to fight infections.
Guggulu is known in Ayurveda for its astringent, antiseptic, and
anti-inflammatory properties. It contains guggulsterones and
guggulipids which have been used for the treatment of rheumatoid
arthritis. The herb also promotes the growth of healthy and
beneficial flora in your intestines, therefore maximizing nutrient
absorption which in turn strengthens your immune system. A
healthy immune system can help prevent auto-immune conditions like
rheumatoid arthritis.
●
Ashwagandha
- Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha)
Ashwagandha contains the following
phytonutrients:
4-Beta-Hydroxywithanolide, 4-O-Caffeoylquinic-Acid, Beta-Sitosterol,

Visamine, Withacnistin, Withaferin, Withaferin-A, Withanolide-D,
Withanolide-E, and Withasomnine.
Ashwagandha contains steroidal lactones which contribute to resistance
to stress, escalate stamina, revitalize the body in debilitated
conditions, and increase longevity. It also supports a healthy immune
system. Its leaf extract has an active constituent that activates the
immune system, enhances T cell activation, and proliferation of
lymphocytes, bone marrow cells and thymocytes
in response to mitogens. Researchers from Banaras Hindu University in
Varanasi, India, have also discovered that Ashwagandha also contains
powerful natural antioxidants (superoxide dismutase, catalase, and
glutathione peroxidase) that enhance cognition, reduce inflammation,
and aid in anti-aging, antigenotoxic (prevents damage caused by
mutation), and anti-arthritic actions. The herb exerts
immunosuppressive effect which aids in treating auto-immune diseases
such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, and contains
alkaloids that have relaxant and antispasmodic effects on intestinal,
uterine, bronchial, tracheal, and blood-vascular muscles. In Ayurveda,
Ashwagandha is popularly known as an immunostimulant herbal medicine
used to improve overall health and prevent diseases, particularly in
the elderly.
● Ajamo
- Apium
Graveolens (Celery)
The main constituents of Ajamo (as a
powerful 5 to 1 ratio extract) are
terpenes, coumarins, furanocoumarins, flavonoids, phenolic
compounds, choline, ascorbate, and fatty acids. These plant
compounds bind to estrogen receptors and cartilage cells, thereby
preventing the binding of the body's own estrogen to the
receptor. Since there is a higher incidence of osteoarthritis
in women, studies suggest that estrogens may play a role in this
disease.
Ajamo also offers rich supplies of potassium, folic acid, calcium,
magnesium,
iron, phosphorus, sodium and essential amino acids, making the
herb a helpful agent in clearing uric acid from painful joints and in
enhancing kidney functions to increase elimination of water and
expedite clearance of accumulated toxins from the joints. Its
supplementation of potassium helps prevent rheumatoid arthritis which
has been linked to potassium deficiency. The high-calcium content calms the
nervous system and strengthens bones. Polyacetylene in Ajamo provides a powerful mechanism to fight
inflammation related to osteoarthritis, gout, asthma,
and bronchitis. This herbs is likewise known to contain
eight families of anti-cancer compounds; among them are the
acetylenics, said to stop the growth of tumor cells, phenolic acids,
which block the action of prostaglandins that encourage the growth of
tumor cells, and coumarins, which help prevent free radicals from
damaging cells.
● Shigru
- Moringa Oleifera
(Horseradish Tree)
The leaf, seed, and fruit powder of
Shigru are naturally rich sources
of vitamins and minerals. One hundred grams of the edible
portion of Shigru pods, fresh leaves, and dried leaf powder will
contain the following water-soluble vitamins: 2.6 mg of vitamin
B1 (thiamine), 20.5 mg of vitamin B2, 8.2 mg of vitamin B3, and 220 mg
of
vitamin C; and the following fat-soluble vitamins: 16.3 mg of vitamin
A,
113 mg of vitamin E, as much as 423 mg of the lipotropic element
Choline,
19.2 grams of fiber; and several key minerals (2003 mg of Calcium, 368
mg
of Magnesium, 204 mg of Phosphorus, 1324 mg of Potassium, 3.1 mg of
Copper, 28.2 mg of Iron, and 87 0mg of Selenium). Shigru
provides as much as 27.1 grams of protein (nearly 1/3 of the edible
portion) including 19 of the 20 prominent amino acids, which play a
major role in the fundamental processes of tissue formation,
regeneration, and function. Amino acids are considered to be the
primary component of all living matter yet a human body does not have
the ability to synthesize all of the amino acids required for normal,
good health. Shigru contains all of the eight essential
amino acids (phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine,
methionine, leucine, and lysine), those which must be supplied in our
diet. Adequate nutrition requires the
consumption of sufficient protein, which is necessary for the formation
of antibodies.
Deficiency of it results in a weakened immune system. Shigru's ability
to supply
this extraordinary range of nutrients makes it a significant
contributor to healing processes related to joint recuperation.
● Guduchi
- Tinospora Cordiofolia (Indian Tinospora)
The
principal constituents of Guduchi are tinosporine, tinosporide, and
tinosporaside among other alkaloids. It has antispasmodic,
anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties that help control fever
and inflammation. Its immuno-stimulant properties improve your body's
resistance to infection by increasing antibody production. Studies show
that Guduchi also exudes direct and indirect antioxidant
actions that act along with its radioprotective property as
defenses from injurious effects of radiation. The plant is
used in Ayurvedic Rasayanas for treatment of diverse diseases such as
jaundice, hepatic fibrosis, peritonitis, and sepsis. It has also been
proven to be effective in preventing fibrous changes, promoting wound
healing, decreasing inflammation, and stimulating calcium absorption -
all important elements for joint recuperation and health. Guduchi gives
immediate relief from joint pain and inflammation and enhances quick
recovery from joint injuries.
● Shallaki
- Boswellia Serrata (Indian
Frankincense)
Shallaki has anti-inflammatory,
anti-arthritic, and analgesic
properties, and is used for treating rheumatoid arthritis,
osteoarthritis, gout, lower back pain, myositis and fibrositis.
The therapeutic action of a standardized Shallaki extract includes
reduction of joint swellings, restoration and improvement of blood
supply to inflamed joints, pain relief, increased mobility, and
amelioration of morning stiffness. Shallaki inhibits COX-2, an
enzyme responsible for inflammation and pain with reduced risks of
Peptic Ulcer and mucusal erosions. It has also
been used to improve appetite and alleviate general weakness and
debility. Shallaki reduces the synovial fluid leucocyte count
and lowers elevated serum transaminase levels, as well as
erythrocyte sedimentation rates. This ensures proper lubrication of
joints to promote ease of movement and rotation. Inflammatory
conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis are characterized by a marked
increase in the mentioned parameters. Shallaki also improves
blood supply to the joints and
restores the integrity of blood vessels, by opening up collateral blood
circulation. This helps
shrink inflamed tissues.
● Gokshura
- Tribulus
Terrestris (Tribulus)
Gokshura
is a psychological and physiological enhancer that stimulates
the production of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). When LH
levels are elevated, the natural production of testosterone also
increases. LH is a hormone that also boosts energy and
virility. This herb also has a stimulating effect on the
liver by helping to convert cholesterol and fats into hormones and
energy. By promoting production of your body's own hormones, Gokshura
helps your body to naturally realize its full strength and
musculoskeletal potential. It is also potent for
rejuvenation of genitourinary tract, regulation of urinary composition,
and restoration of kidney functions. The principle constituents present
in the herb exhibit antiperiodic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and
antipyretic properties. The plant is used in Ayurvedic
rasayanas to improve the immune system and the body's resistance
against infections.

prescribed in the treatment of inflammatory, biliary, and respiratory
disorders. It helps in wound
healing, suppresses free radicals, increases kidney glutathione
content, and endogenous antioxidants. Haridra (as a potent 7 to 1 ratio extract) is also considered one of
the best natural antiseptics.
Curcuminoids are found in this herb. These are powerful antioxidant
phytonutrients whose main components comprise curcumin,
demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin. They possess
anti-inflammatory, anti-hepatotoxic (liver-supporting), and
blood purifying properties. Research has confirmed that
the anti-inflammatory
activity of these
curcuminoids is comparable in strength to
steroidal drugs and non-steroidal drugs such as indomethacin and
phenylbutazone. In addition, curcuminoids inhibit enzymes (prostaglandins and leukotrienes)
which participate in the synthesis of inflammatory substances in the
body. New studies
have found that compounds in Haridra may suppress the production of
interleukin-8 which spurs abnormal cell growth in the body and attracts
white blood cells to specific sites to cause inflammation.
Haridra also helps prevent glycation - an
effect when sugar and protein bind under the body's own heat and fuse
vital organs.

Ginger contains shogaol, zingerone and gingerol
which are important antioxidants for clearing impurities from your
body. Concentrated levels of gingerol, in a potent 4:1 ratio extract
form, stimulate peripheral circulation to the extremities resulting in
a warming effect on the body and joints. Ayurvedic practitioners rely
on Ardaka as a "carrier" herb that enables other herbs to react more
effectively in the body. Scientists have now discovered other
potential uses including relief from the pain and inflammation of
rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Krishna C. Srivastva from the
Institute of Odense in Denmark found that arthritis patients
reported "significant relief" from pain after taking less than a
tablespoon of Ardaka every day for three months. The Medical
Tribune (vol.30,18:16) describes one study of arthritis patients who
took daily servings of Ardaka; all patients reported that
"they were able to move around better and had less swelling and morning
stiffness after consuming the spice". Ayurveda attributes
stiffness, slowness, and pain that results from rheumatic conditions to
the entrance of cold and dampness in the body, an observation
concurrent with those who suffer from rheumatic symptoms that are
intensified by inclement weather. The whole process of the
joints losing their lubrication, function, and warmth is seen as a
"cooling of the body", referred to as atrophy in the West. Ardaka is
regarded as one of the classic remedies for these conditions
and is used internally and externally. It is also effectively counters
stomach
problems attributed to overuse of prescriptive drugs and combats stress
by helping to reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol
while improving appetite and digestion and relieving nausea.
● Yashtimadhu
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice)
In the Ayurvedic system of medicine, the
roots and rhizomes of
Yashtimadhu have been employed clinically for centuries for their
anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities. It has been found
effective in strengthening muscles and bones, increasing physical
strength, and treating peptic ulcer. Yashtimadhu contains
glycyrrhetinic
acid and glycyrrhizin carbenoxolone which have anti-inflammatory and
antioxidant properties that contribute favorably to hepatoprotective
effects which protect the liver, promote the
growth of healthy cells, and protect cells from premature and
abnormal aging. These activities engender long-term joint health.
● Pippali
- Piper Longum (Long Pepper)
The
active and most abundant ingredients in Pippali are piperine (a proven
bioenhancer that increases the availability of nutritional substances
by promoting rapid absorption of diverse phytonutrients
through modulation of membrane dynamics) and piplartine (an amide
alkaloid found to have anxiolytic and antidepressant effects). Pippali
also contains methyl piperine, pipernonaline, piperettine, asarinine,
pellitorine, piperundecalidine, piperlongumine, and
piperlonguminine.
Pippali as
a powerful 4:1 ratio extract stimulates
thermogenic response
or the release of metabolic heat energy in the body as a precursor to
intense physical activity. Pippali also helps in the detoxification and
purification process of the body, which precedes proficient nutrient
absorption. It is also beneficial in enhancing digestion, assimilation,
and metabolism of food. In Ayurveda, it is reputed as a Rasayana plant,
efficient for promoting physical and mental health, improving defense
mechanisms of the body, and enhancing longevity. The fruits
are used as an anti-irritant and analgesic for muscular pains and
inflammation.
These
ingredients
comprise a Proprietary Blend
that goes to work directly on joint support systems
with positive impact on inflammation, healing, and long-term joint
health.
